1. The quality of the hydraulic system oil is of great significance to the working condition and service life of the equipment. If the viscosity of the hydraulic oil is abnormal, the metal content exceeds the standard, the acidity and other quality problems will cause problems to the oil pump, oil motor and valve parts. Abnormal corrosion and excessive wear may occur; unstable hydraulic oil viscosity will also lead to unstable windlass operation. Sometimes the system oil will be emulsified due to water intrusion, resulting in abnormal system pressure and even damage to the oil pump and oil motor. Therefore, pay attention to the changes in system oil quality and clean the filter (including magnetic filter) in time. Generally, it should be cleaned every six months, and the working oil should be tested regularly (annually) (the impurity content in the oil must be lower than NAS CLASS 10). According to the test results, decide whether to replace or partially replace the oil in order to improve the quality of the system oil and keep the oil quality in good condition. Due to the objective instability of the working conditions of the windlass, vibration is prone to occur and the fixed parts are loosened. Therefore, in daily management, we should check from time to time whether the fixing screws of the oil pump, oil motor and windlass are loose, whether there are cracks, deformations and other defects.

3. The anchor windlass is placed at the bow of the ship. It is often soaked by sea water during navigation and is easily corroded. Therefore, the lubrication of various lubricating parts of the windlass is very important. Each lubrication part should be filled with grease once per voyage. Pay more attention to check whether the grease in each lubrication part is sufficient. Leakage in the hydraulic system directly affects the normal operation of the windlass. Therefore, leakage in the system is strictly prohibited. Once leakage is found, it should be eliminated immediately.
